Kneadless and quick Oat bread

Standard
I bought a large packet of rolled oats and dried them in some porridge but they weren’t the type prefer (small flakes rather than larger ones), So, rather than waste them, I was wondering how I can eat them in another format.  I searched the internet and have found a quick bread recipe that does not require kneading plus uses Oats I also didn’t want to use my bread maker as this usually takes approximately 3 hours to bake a loaf which is quite can be expensive with the current price of electricity, thus I used my gas oven for only 40 minutes at a cheaper rate. I’ve modified it to suit the ingredients I had in stock.
1. 1/4 cups warm water
2. 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
1. tablespoon honey or Golden syrup
2. cups of bread flour
1. cup rolled oats
1. 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons butter/margarine or cooking spray
Method
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a loaf tin (or any shape you wish) with the butter/margarine or
 use a cooking spray.
Pour the warm water into bowl and sprinkle the yeast on top. Stir gently until the yeast dissolves. Stir in the honey/syrup and set aside for a couple of minutes until the yeast blooms.
In the meantime, combine the flours, oats and salt in another bowl.
Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir very well.
Transfer the dough into the prepared loaf tin, cover with a damp cloth and set in a warm place for about 30 minutes to rise.
Once risen, bake the bread for 35-40 minutes, until the edges and top are golden brown and start to pull away from the sides of the pan.
Remove from oven, and transfer the bread out of the tin and onto a cooling rack.
Cool before slicing. Tried the bread with butter and strawberry jam, chicken curry and minestrone soup.  Worked well.
